ABOUT ANDREW W. BUDER, Esq.

Andrew is a lifelong resident of Westchester County, who has called New Rochelle home for over 20 years. A proud graduate of New Rochelle High School, Andrew went on to study at the University of Maryland where he received a B.A. in Government and Politics. Andrew studied law at Brooklyn Law School where he received his J.D.

​

In 2018, Andrew opened this practice to focus on local needs including real estate, corporate governance, surrogates matters/planning, and local courts. Andrew also practices Election Law.

 

During his time in practice and in the community, Andrew observed that one of the biggest needs that people have is a legal sounding board. Quite often individuals do not know if they need a lawyer or if they do, they do not know what type of lawyer they need. Many times they do not need a lawyer but need guidance on how to proceed on their own. In order to fill this void, Andrew offers flat rate consultations in order to help evaluate these matter. If further legal assistance is required, Andrew is focused on helping individuals find the right assistance going forward, either in a continued relationship or through his extensive referral network.

Prior to opening this practice, Andrew was an associate at Kommer Bave and Ollman, LLP practicing in the areas of real estate, litigation, elder law, guardianships, personal injury, family law, and business law. Andrew also served as Deputy Counsel to Assemblywoman Amy Paulin where he split time between Westchester and Albany.

Currently, Andrew also serves as Legislative Counsel to Senator Shelley Mayer. 

 

As a longtime resident of New Rochelle, Andrew has consistently been active throughout Westchester County as a volunteer, including assisting multiple local campaigns as a community organizer. Andrew has served has a regional coordinator for the New York Democratic Lawyers Counsel, including training attorneys and non-attorneys in election law and election protection as well as running the county-wide election protection program. Andrew is currently serving as the Vice Chair of the New Rochelle Democratic Committee and the Vice Chair of the Westchester County Democratic Committee.

 

Andrew a former officer of the New Rochelle Bar Association. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Westchester Bar Association.

Mr. Buder is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York, and the District Court of the State of Connecticut.
